Starting in 1983, Nuclear Energy Consultants Inc., (NEC) provided a broad spectrum of technical services to nearly all commercial nuclear power plants in the United States, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the Department of Energy (DOE), various nuclear engineering companies and nuclear law firms.
The scope of NEC's expertise and services included the following: - Regulatory, licensing and compliance, including advanced reactors - Engineering, design, construction, startup, operation, maintenance and quality assurance - Procedures, programs and policy development and upgrade - Electrical, mechanical, nuclear, and chemical engineering. NEC's engineering and professional engineering services were provided at the client's site, client’s corporate offices, or in NEC's offices, as appropriate for each project.NEC provided the organization and management support as necessary for the project. NEC also provided its services on a basis ranging from fixed price for defined deliverables to staff augmentation working directly for the client. NEC's services have been cost effective because NEC's staff was:
