NEC’s PAST HISTORICAL SCOPE OF CONSULTING SUPPORT SERVICES
Starting in 1983, Nuclear Energy Consultants Inc., (NEC) provided technical consulting and staffing services to nearly all commercial nuclear power plants in the United States, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the Department of Energy (DOE), various nuclear engineering companies and nuclear law firms.
NEC's professional and technical services were provided at the client's site, client’s corporate offices, or in NEC's offices, or using remote and hybrid approaches as appropriate for each project. NEC provided the organization and management support as necessary for the project. NEC also provided its services on a basis ranging from fixed price for defined deliverables to staff augmentation working directly for the client. NEC's services have been cost effective because NEC's staff was:
- Experienced in the management, technical and regulatory aspects of commercial nuclear power plants.
- Technically qualified and experienced eliminating the need for training at the clients' expense.
- Experienced in resource allocation, cost control and analysis, and performance monitoring.
NEC's managers recognized that the only acceptable level of performance is in time, within budget and of high quality.
